I know just enough about photography to mess things up. Still, I think I've got some pretty cool images hanging around. Here are a few of them.

Summertime Sarajevo
A summertime view (a stitch of two horizontal pictures) of Sarajevo from the White Fortress above the city. Famous (infamous?) for its smog during the winter, the city couldn't seem to escape the haze in June 2017, either, but, overall, the late spring colors were bold and beautiful.

Waiting for the Sunset
While waiting about 45 minutes at the Croatia-Bosnia & Herzegovina border, the sky blew up. After finally making it through customs and border control, we stopped at a gas station for gas and pictures. The church on the horizon is the Church of St. Elijah in Brod, Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Old Bridge as Cold Winter Turns to Spring
We finished a pleasant day out in the south of Bosnia & Herzegovina in Mostar, home of the world-famous Old Bridge. It was bitterly cold thanks to a strong, biting wind, and without the trees, the view down the Neretva River isn’t quite as pretty. Still, it was a cool view and worthy of trying to take a picture.

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween! We try to carve jack-o'-lanterns every year. This year, our two oldest children pretty much did their own. It’s a fun tradition, although a little messy. Taking pictures of them is somewhat hard, but a tripod, a long exposure, and some backlighting kind of help things out.

Mostar’s Old Bridge
Mostar’s old town, dominated by the famous Old Bridge, rebuilt after the war here in the 1990s. We were lucky that our first visit to the town happened on a beautiful summer day like this, and we got to see people jump from the bridge and enjoyed lunch and some ice cream right down by the water.
