After a weather forecast that called for rain, this dusting of snow was what the morning brought, and it provided for some nice contrasts with the last leaves and flowers of fall.

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween! We try to carve jack-o'-lanterns every year. This year, our two oldest children pretty much did their own. It’s a fun tradition, although a little messy. Taking pictures of them is somewhat hard, but a tripod, a long exposure, and some backlighting kind of help things out.
